Groupe pour
l'abolition des mutilations sexuelles

Activities Print E-mail
The subject of FGM is extremely sensitive and a complex one for those who have just arrived in our country. The women who come to us must feel that they can trust the members of GAMS Belgium.
This is why, within the framework of our activities, our approach and our methodology, we aim to reach our target public through practical projects and activities which meet their basic needs. This gives us a platform through which we can raise awareness of FGM more effectively.

Internal activities:

  • Reception and support of women affected by FGM : by appointment every day from 9am to 5pm
  • Literacy classes in French : Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 12pm for level  I and from 12.30pm to 3pm for level II
  • Dressmaking workshop : every Monday from 3pm to 5pm and Wednesdays from 3pm to 5pm
  • Hairdressing workshop: every Monday and Wednesday from 10.30am to 3pm.
